Playing in Manual Mode

So since we are having such nice Spring weather here in Utah, we decided to have some fun on the trampoline with William yesterday.  And since I have read a little bit from the book "Understanding Exposure"  I decided to try my hand at taking pictures in manual mode, which were initially set for night time shooting, so it took me a while to dial in the right ones for the evening sun.  It was fun trying to remember the book's teachings about, the photographic triangle: aperture, shutter speed and ISO.  So these pictures pictures are mostly me playing in Manual mode, some auto shots were taken (mainly to get the action shots)
Starting off in Auto Mode, with the Burst setting on.  This is Camilla doing a front flip.

Someone switched the setting from RAW to JPEG, so no edits this time.  Except for a few pictures  I don't think it is needed.

Having fun on the trampoline?

Last picture taken in auto mode

To the untrained eye, this is just a blank picture.  But to the trained eye,  it is an over exposed picture.  The difference?  Nothing

Dialing it in

Still dialing it in.  I'm speeding up the shutter

A little faster

Longer shutter than the auto, so it is a bit brighter.  Plus I dialed back the white balance on the camera

William's thought bubble "I am unimpressed by this bouncy ground I am on"

Fun action shot of Mommy and baby

This next sequence is Michelle holding William as she bounces with him.  I wish they were a tad sharper and that I had zoomed in more.

Happy baby

Michelle has a nice future in Baby Portraits
