Family, Food, and Fun

If you didn't realize it, today is Thanksgiving and that means Family, Food, and Fun. So today I had fun taking pictures of my nieces doing silly and cute things as well as catching family in their natural, not ready for pictures, state.  I had fun with the high-speed continuous shooting function on the camera and trying to get some low light night Christmas light shoots in preparation of a family trip to see the lights turned on at Temple Square (https://www.lds.org/church/events/temple-square-lights-up-the-season?lang=eng)

This is her "Oh no!! I just got caught playing on my mommy's phone face"

"Now I will pose"
Courtney and Brian Andersen opening up their home to the Anderson Madness

Mom is also playing on her Phone

Time to pose for the camera. This girl is a sucker for a nice picture.
I will not disclose whose booty is in the shot. I guess next year I need to get a good photo editing program

I like this one

Kate wanted to play so she dragged people to play with her. Once she got us outsides she hands me the football and says "Okay you play! I'm going to sit here and watch :-) !"

Courtney liked this one
KATE throwing the football, it looks like she is better suited for Rugby

Good form for Rugby

Now for some action shots of Michelle throwing Jane. Jane was happy for most of these tosses.

Told you! She's a sucker  for a camera

I liked this one because of the way Michelle's hair is flowing
More Action Shots, now with leaves. It took a minute to explain to Kate how to throw the leaves.

Family Pictures 2012, by the end of the year there will be two more   in this picture. Pictures were taken by Kay Anderson. She may need some help centering the shot.  Vote for your favorite for the Anderson Christmas Card
These first 3 have flash

 These next 4, no flash

How the Andelins Observe Thanksgiving, Similar to the Anderson's but theirs includes videos such as "The Man from Snowy River" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084296/
and "The Thanksgiving Promise" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092077/

I think I found Dan's next profile picture

Lessons learned from this practice of Christmas lights shooting, don't be too close to your subject with flash or you will flush out the colors of lights. I think I did an okay job if I do say so myself. But any suggestions for improvement are always appreciated.

Homework Done, I think+Snow and other things

These pictures got out of order somehow and were a little difficult to rearrange.

I asked Michelle to practice with the continuous shooting mode on the camera, she got some good picture of the bus. I wanted her to take pictures of me knocking down the dangerous icicles that were forming by our door.

I guess we needed more practice or better timing

Okay, I think I finally got the shot that John was looking for. It was difficult with the light I was working with in the basement but I think I finally got it.  Here it is
